1 - Complete the My sister and I writing assignment about two people you know (it does not have to be about you and your sister). Explain at least two ways they are similar and/or different (two main ideas) and include specific examples related to these main ideas. Your paragraph should follow the comparison/contrast format, include time order and comparison/contrast signal words where necessary and be about 1 page double-spaced.

2 - Complete FEG 11-6 and 11-7 exercises, specifically:
Ex. 15 p 323 #14-20 and Ex. 16 p. 325 #15-22

1 - Complete the Research Report on page 137 in your RT2 book. Bring in the article you chose and present on it for 3-5min, include an outline of the research methods, results and interpretation of the results where possible. 1- Study for quick quiz on 11-1 through 11-5 in FEG.
2- Finish correcting the grammar from the Process Paragraph writing you received back.

1- Prepare 3-5 minute presentation on a famous leader. (Mosaic 1 - assignment pg. 159 #8. Include a visual of that person and written out points of how that person was good and/or bad so the class can look at it while you are speaking.)
2- Finish reading TKM Ch 18-20. There will be a quiz tomorrow.

Homework for Saturday Oct 30th (1753 C)

Prepare a research presentation by yourself (about 3 minutes speaking in front of the class with a visual) about one of the research topics from Unit 5: Subway Etiquette on page 227 in your North Star 2 book. Choose one of them: eating, traveling, doing business, dating, being a university student or meeting new people in a foreign culture and present on it. You also want to create a written list of dos and don'ts about that topic. If you have questions, email me by Thursday.

(Similar to Part 1, only you add the missing parts of the paragraph.)
Part 3:
Write your own paragraph. Choose from one of several prompts.
(Recommendation: Review the different paragraph examples in Ch. 1-5. Know how to write these different kinds of paragraphs with the different signal words they require.)
