Homework for Monday, August 9th

Study for your Reading, Novel and Speaking Exams.

For Reading:
1- Know about topic sentences/main ideas, support sentences and conclusions. Be able to identify them in a passage and answer related questions. Be able to write a paragraph of your own about topics from Ch. 1, 3, 4, 5 and 10 using topic sentences, support sentences and conclusions.
2 - Know at least 10 strategies that help with reading and speaking.

For WD Novel:
1 - Know about characters in the story.
2 - Be able to give your opinion about people and events in the story.
3 - Be able to identify details if the page with examples is provided.
4 - Be able to summarize the story/answer the question: What is the story about?
5 - Know about the different kind of relationships people have in the story.

For Speaking:
Practice pronunciation if you need it.
Practice complete sentences (subject and verb).

Good luck - bring questions on Monday if you have them.
