Think about a social issue that interests you and bring in a newspaper or magazine article about it. Read it and be prepared to discuss it with a partner. You will then plan a PPT presentation about the issue with questions for class discussion. The PPT is due on Friday when you and your partner will present the issue and discuss it with the class.

Social issues are matters which directly or indirectly affect a person or many members of a society and are considered to be problems, controversies related to moral values, or both. Examples include: Censorship, corruption, divorce, drug laws, family values, feminism, gay rights, overpopulation, immigration, media influence, racism, sexism, poverty, violence, war, etc. (These are a few we have discussed, but there are many more. Choose any social issue that interests you.)
