Note: Here is the OMAM Chapter 1 summary we wrote in class today.

Chapter one in “Of Mice and Men” is about two friends, Lennie and George, who are traveling around California looking for work. In the opening scene/first, it is very calm in nature. They are walking along the river. They have just run away from a city because Lennie got them in trouble. They are talking about going to the ranch in another city. George complains that Lennie always makes mistakes, and they lose their job. In the final scene/finally/to conclude chapter one, they talk about their dream to be together and raise pigs and cows. They want to have their own farm.
